While we strive to keep to our itinerary

so that you can plan for your trip, the itinerary and times are subject to change at the discretion of the workshop staff & instructors.  Surf & SUP schedules are also dependent on weather and surf reports, and could be cancelled and replaced with other activities. This allows us to be spontaneous during our workshops, with so many amazing photo & wellness opportunities that will arise!

OVERVIEW

This workshop is tailor-made for those who have a love of photography, surf, and body wellness.  Based in Melaque, Mexico for a week, our days will be filled with Surf or Stand-up Paddle Board lessons, yoga & tai-chi, photography practice and instruction, and ample opportunity for exploring this authentic corner of Mexico's Pacific Costalegre ("Happy Coast"). This workshop will have a "retreat" feel, with plenty of attention given to water & wellness, and all the photography instruction and practice you'd expect. All this will be highlighted by beautiful beaches, delicious local fare, and lots of relaxation and free time to explore the beach and town.  All levels of surf, yoga, SUP and Photography are welcome!

DETAILS

 

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• All photography instruction, lectures and critique.

• Lodging at Las Arenas Hotel, Melaque Mexico for 6 nights.

• Meals: including 5 dinners, 2 lunches, 7 breakfasts

• 2 mornings of 2+ hour Stand Up Paddleboard lessons (1/2 hour of on-beach theory    and instruction the first morning, 1 1/2 – 2 hours of in-water instruction and touring).

• 1 morning of 2+ hour Surf lesson (1/2 hour of on-beach theory and instruction, 1          hour of in-water instruction and coaching, and a 1/2 hour plus “free surf”).

• 4 yoga sessions with a certified yoga instructor

• 1 morning tai-chi warm up session (1/2 hour)

• All equipment needed for activities including: surfboards, stand up paddleboards      and paddles, masks, fins, snorkels, yoga mats and blocks

• Transportation to all photo locations and excursions

• Transfers to and from the Manzanillo (zlo), Mexico airport

 

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED

• Your flights to Mexico are not included. Transfers from any other airport other than Manzanillo (ZLO) are not included.

• Optional acupuncture and or massage treatments can be added for additional cost.

• With exception of the 4 dinners and 1 lunch, you will need to make your own eating arrangements for lunch and dinner. Local restaurants or food stands are a short walk from the hotel, or you may visit the local markets and make something up for yourself in your room’s kitchenettes or hotel’s barbecues. Amazing meals can be found starting at $2 and up depending on your needs and preferences.

• You will need to have your own swimwear. We highly recommend 2 pairs of board shorts for men and 2 changes of “surf sturdy” bikini, one-piece, and/or board short combos for women.

 

LODGING

Rooms are per person, based on double occupancy (shared rooms).

There is an additional fee per person if requesting a private room of $100 per person.

Rooms are allocated in order of registration booking; any special roommate requests should be made directly with David Lynn Photography.

 

DISCOUNTS

$50 Early Bird Booking: 

$50 discount for attendees of any previous David Lynn Photography class.

$50 Refer A Friend - $50 off your tuition when a friend you refer books a spot.

 

PAYMENT TERMS

$1000 Deposit is required to reserve a spot in the Mexico Workshop.

Second payment of $1,000

Final payment of $500

All applicable Discounts will be applied to final payment.

Payments are invoiced and paid online.  Alternative payment plans may be arranged, please inquire.

 

If client cancels their reservation in the Workshop:

within 30 days, David Lynn Photography retains 100% of payments made.

within 60 days, David Lynn Photography retains 50% of payments made.

within 90 days, David Lynn Photography retains 25% of payments made.

before 90 days prior to workshop, all payments are returned.

 

David Lynn Photography reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or rearrange the itinerary of a workshop for any reason, including, but not limited to: insufficient attendee booking, instructor illness, hotel closures or cancellations, inclement weather, and random acts of nature. In the event of Workshop full cancellation, David Lynn Photography will refund all payments made, and thereby be released of any other cancellation liability.  Payments made can also be saved as a credit to use towards any other new or rescheduled workshop.

 

A minimum of 6 attendees are required for the trip to remain scheduled.  If less than 6 people register for the workshop by September 1, 2016, the workshop will be cancelled and all deposits and payments refunded.   

 

WAIVERS & INSURANCE

Workshop guests are required to sign a waiver of liability releasing David Lynn Photography from any damage & personal injury liability while participating in the workshop and related activities.

Purchasing Travel Insurance is highly recommended for each participant. Ideally your travel insurance will cover personal medical expenses, personal liability, lost or stolen luggage, and damaged camera equipment.

 

PHOTO RELEASES

David Lynn Photography reserves the right to photograph and/or film the workshop events, its participants, and locations, and use the material for marketing and promotional purposes including, but not limited to, social media, websites, and blogs.
